For over 100 years, Alpha Phi Alpha has as one of its tenets, the support of youth through active community service. The Delta Lambda Chapter of Baltimore City accomplishes this by providing individual mentoring and leadership training for participants through programs that emphasize scholarship, manly deeds, and love for all mankind. Our chapter interprets this to mean instilling standards of culture, scholarship, and academic excellence in the lives of Baltimore’s young men. Through programs such as the beautillion, members of this chapter hope to have a positive impact on the lives of youths and to guide them toward more purposeful futures.
