Alpha Phi Alpha Organizational License Plates (by State)

State of Maryland

In Maryland Organizational license plates for Alpha Phi Alpha can be ordered in one of two ways. If you have already been issued plates, your new tag will replace your current plate. MVA charges a fee of $25 to cover the cost of the specialty plate.

Multi-purpose Vehicles
Motorcycles
Trucks (10,000 lbs. or less)

How to obtain your organizational plates
Organizational plates cannot be ordered online, however, applications for can be obtained from the organizational representative within Delta Lambda Chapter. Contact Bro. R. Mills (443) 506-3089 or Bro. Vernon Dorkins, (443) 621-9430, one of them will send you an "Application/Certificate for Organizational License Plates" from the Maryland DMV.

Once you receive the application, fill in the appropriate sections and mail your application with your $25 fee to:

Once processed by MVA, the tags will be mailed to you (with instructions on how to return your old tags to any Maryland DMV) and you'll be able to proudly display your new Fraternity tags on your vehicle.

Additionally, you can obtain your organizational tags in person at your local Maryland DMV. Present the completed "Application/Certification for Organizational License Plate," and fee, along with your existing tags to receive your new organizational plates.

How to Order
Custom plates can normally be ordered on-line, but certain picture plates require proof or certification and must be ordered through the Custom Plates Unit or the organization. The State of New York's DMV web site has more information about the fees and how to order.
