
Nearly 100 brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. gathered in Annapolis on Monday, February 23 for the seventh Annual Legislative Night. Sponsored by the Baltimore Delegate Keith Haynes (a member of the Delta Lambda Chapter) the fraternity descends on the State Capital each year.
During the evening, which began with a plenteous reception in the Lowe House Office building, several members of the Maryland Legislature joined the gathering and shared greetings with the impressive group of Black men. House Speaker Michael Busch, House Speaker Pro Tem Adrianne Jones, Senator Delores Kelley, Delegate Ruth Kirk, and other representatives from Maryland's Eastern Shore, Prince George’s County, Montgomery County, Western and Southern Maryland acknowledged the commendable work of Alpha Phi Alpha over its 102 year history.
