On Saturday, September 24, 2011, The Delta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., held its First Annual Community Outreach/Health Fair at the Delta Lambda Foundation Outreach Center in Baltimore, MD.  Despite inclement weather, the event took place at the outreach center.  The chapter accomplished its goal to promote health and wellness through:  Diet and Nutrition, Stress Reduction Methods, Family and Health, Drugs/ Supplements, Dental and High Blood Pressure Screenings.  Lecturers and participants included Susan G. Komen for the Cure, University Maryland Medical Services and Walgreens.  Charles Harris of Chizel-it Fitness was our special guest and Fitness Expert.  He was able to get the audience on their feet with fitness demonstrations.   Patrice Isley, 92Q radio and Coppin State's University Combo Band provided entertainment.   At the end, a raffle brought excitement with a 1st Place prize of a 51" Flat Screen TV and 2nd Place prize an Apple iPad.
